1. Who we are

YourWatts GCC ("we", "us") is operated by Kulik Media UG, a limited company registered in Germany. Contact: /contact.

Data controller: Kulik Media UG, Germany. Our data protection contact is Stephan Kulik (reachable via LinkedIn or via the contact page).

2. Applicable data-protection frameworks

Because our users span multiple GCC countries and we are based in Germany, we apply the strictest of the following frameworks on an issue-by-issue basis:

• UAE Personal Data Protection Law — Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 and its executive regulations, supervised by the UAE Data Office.
• Saudi Arabia Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) — Royal Decree M/19 of 1443H (as amended in 2023) and SDAIA implementing regulations.
• Operator-level GDPR equivalent — for users in Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, or anywhere else in the GCC, Kulik Media UG applies the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) as a baseline, because we are a German legal entity and our infrastructure is GDPR-configured by default.

3. What data we collect

• Usage data (analytics): aggregated, anonymised data about pages visited, device type, country (from IP, then discarded), and referrer.
• Tool inputs: if you use our ROI calculator or system configurator, your inputs are processed locally in your browser and are not stored on our servers.
• Contact submissions: if you email us, we retain the email and any information you provide.

We do not collect: payment data, government IDs (Emirates ID, Iqama, CPR, etc.), or precise location.

4. Why we collect it (legal basis)

• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; Art. 5 UAE PDPL): analytics to improve the site, fraud and abuse prevention.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; Art. 5 UAE PDPL; Art. 6 KSA PDPL): non-essential cookies, marketing pixels — only after you opt in.
• Contract / pre-contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): responding to your questions.

5. Cookies and Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (when enabled) for aggregated usage statistics. We configure Google Analytics with IP anonymisation and data-sharing disabled. Non-essential cookies are only set after you give explicit consent via the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies for this site or using your browser's Do Not Track setting.

6. Affiliate tracking

When you click an affiliate link on our site, you will be directed to a third-party merchant (e.g. EcoFlow, BLUETTI, Anker SOLIX, Tesla, manufacturer partner sites). That merchant may set their own cookies to attribute a resulting sale to us. We do not share any personal data with these partners — only an anonymised referral identifier (UTM parameters) that allows the merchant to tell us a sale originated from YourWatts GCC.

7. Your rights

Across the applicable frameworks, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Restrict or object to processing
• Data portability
• Lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office, SDAIA (Saudi Arabia), or your local data-protection authority in other GCC states; EU users may lodge a complaint with a competent EU supervisory authority

8. Data retention

Analytics data is retained for 14 months in aggregated form. Contact-form submissions are retained for 24 months unless you request earlier deletion.

9. International transfers

Some of our service providers (e.g. Google Analytics) may process data outside the GCC and outside the EEA. Transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards required by UAE PDPL and Saudi PDPL for cross-border transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We will post any material changes here. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
